Carlsil Max capsules is a medicinal product that contains the active ingredient silymarin isolated from the fruit of the white thistle plant. Silimarin activates protein and phospholipid synthesis in damaged liver cells, stabilizes cell membranes, binds free radicals (antioxidant action), protects against liver damage and promotes recovery.
Carsil Max capsules are used in the following diseases: toxic liver damage; for maintenance treatment in chronic inflammatory diseases of the liver; liver steatosis; in the complex therapy of hepatic cirrhosis; for prophylaxis of hepatic impairment with prolonged intake of drugs, alcohol, chronic intoxication (including professional).2. if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of the medicine;
in children under 12 years of age.
Take special care with Carsil Max capsules
if you have conditions accompanied by hormonal disorders (such as uterine, ovarian or breast tumors, prostate tumors), you should consult your doctor before starting treatment with Carsil Max capsules.
Treatment with Carsil Max capsules can not replace diet or abstinence from alcohol use in hepatic impairment.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Carsil Max capsules may reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives and tamoxifen.
Can enhance the effects of drugs such as diazepam, alprazolam, Cat eye named, lovastatin, atorvastatin, vinblastine in concomitant use with them.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
During pregnancy and lactation, Carsil Max capsules may only be used for medical purposes and if the benefit to the mother outweighs the risk of using the product for the fetus.
Driving and using machines
Carsil Max capsules have no adverse effects on the ability to drive and use machines.
3. HOW TO TAKE CARSIL MAX CAPSULES
Always take Carsil Max capsules exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Capsules are taken orally with sufficient fluid.
Adults and adolescents
Treatment of severe hepatic impairment begins with a dose of 1 capsule 3 times a day.
For lighter and moderate cases the dosage is 1 capsule 1-2 times a day.
For prophylaxis of chemical intoxications – 1-2 capsules daily.
The course of treatment lasts not less than 3 months.
Children under 12
There is insufficient clinical data on use in children.
If you take more Carlsil Max capsules than
you should If you have taken more than the prescribed dose, ask your doctor for advice. There are no reported cases of drug overdose.
If you forget to take Carsil Max capsules
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it’s almost time for the next dose, take it as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten. Continue to take the medicine as prescribed.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Carsil Max capsules can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Carsil Max capsules have good tolerance. Skin allergic reactions such as itching and rashes or anaphylactic shock (a severe allergic reaction with difficulty breathing and dizziness) are very rarely possible. Rarely, there may be an increase in existing vestibular disorders. In rare cases, diarrhea or nausea, vomiting, dyspeptic disorders with gas formation may occur .

5. HOW TO STORE CARSIL MAX CAPSULES
This medicine does not require any special storage conditions. Keep out of the reach of children!
Do not use Carsil Max capsules after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of your unnecessary medicines. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What Carsil Max capsules contain
The active substance is: 200-275 mg of white thistle, dry refined and standardized extract (Silybi mariani exiractum siccum raffinatum et normatum) (35-50; 1), equivalent to 110 mg of silymarin, recalculated as silibinin.
The other ingredients are:
Capsule contents: mannitol; povidone K25; polysorbate 80; sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium starch glycolate (type A); magnesium stearate, silica, colloidal anhydrous; sodium hydrogencarbonate.
Capsule: iron oxide red (E172), iron oxide black (E172), titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide yellow (E172), gelatin.
What does Carsil Max capsules look like and what it contains Package
size 0 hard shell capsules (body – pink – brown opaque, latch – brown opaque).
Capsule contents: Powdered table with agglomerates, pale yellow to tan in color with a slight specific odor.
6 capsules in a blister of clear, transparent PVC / aluminum foil; 5 blisters in a cardboard box, together with a leaflet.
